New Stadium Managers Appointed

I saw this item on the BSA site:

http://www.basketballsa.com.au/index.php?id=62&tx_ttnews[tt_news]=566&tx_ttnews[backPid]=1&cHash=1f31acec00

(Sorry have no idea how to paste a link)

What surprised me that both these new appointments have an element of their role being the development or improvement in local basketball competitions and linking through from schools to districts.

Is this a new direction in these roles and do current stadium managers have the same responsibilities. If so I am not seeing much involvement in this area with our stadium.

Most basketball SA stadiums have a very large miniball competition as part of its core business consisting of anywhere between 60 and 100 primary school based teams so yes this has always been part of the stadiums. only the good clubs 'link' into this opportunity to recruit and provide a good pathway!

Stadium Managers also employ locally based development staff to run school clinics and work with schools to promote basketball, sapsassa events, holiday clinics, aussie hoops etc.
