Ideally, this would have happened:
Mills signs with the 36ers, Bogut signs with Sydney, Perth round out their big guys with Nevill.
Then you have:
Melbourne (Ubaka/Dorsey/Rush/Trigger)
Sydney (Bogut/Kazzouh)
Adelaide (Mills/Ballinger)
Perth (Redhage/Martin/Nevill)
Townsville (Schensch/Crawf)
Gold Coast (Gibson)
New Zealand (Wilkinson/Abercombie/Bruton)
Wollongong (Saville/Campbell)
Cairns (Rychart/Loughton)
That would be around 6-7 even teams with only Wollongong and Cairns a below the rest talent wise.
Melbourne play out of a 2,500 seat stadium, that's a waste having a guy like Mills, especially when they're top championship contenders without him. Adelaide would get him, makes Adelaide right up there in contention, and we'd be able to get 6-7,000 at the Dome.
Sydney get Bogut, biggest market in the nation, big stadium can fit around 10,000 people and would instantly put them up for title contention. Then you have the already strong Perth, Townsville and maybe the Gold Coast.
Imagine if crowds we'd get when Melbourne visits, when Perth visits and even more then Sydney visits? Or when Adelaide visits other states with Millsy. There would be record crowds, an amazing season that won't just be pushover matches.
