Cast of thousands - do they all get to go to Nationals?

No disrespect intended to some of the names on that list, but the fact that some of those assistant coaches are getting a go at State level says a lot about the lack of depth in SAC basketball.

In response to Anon,

SAC send 2 boys and 2 girls teams in all the 3 grades(U14, U16 & U18) to AJCC every year and also send another Under 15s (Girls & boys) & under 17s (girls & boys) to Port Macquarie Torunament.

So that is why there are quite a few coaches and not all of those go to nationals

do you have to live in the country to be a SAC coach?

I understand it is not Mandatory that you live in an SA Country Region,

But it does help if you are involved in the SA Country Development Program by helping the local DNSP programs or coaching SA country team in SA country tournaments and SA Country Championships.

Wow 27 coaches / assistant / cadets but I only see 4 females on that list. Obviously equal opportunity still missing in country SA

Equal opportunity?? You still need to have the skill set to be in there. Oh and for the record, there are five females listed.

#442 - most of the coaches listed, both male and female, do not have the skill set to be in there. SAC is at an all-time low, due in part to the fact that this is the calibre of coaches within the program. Lots of these coaches would not even be capable of a division one team, let alone run a state program.
