Bob turner weighs in

Bob Turner, who currently works for the Australian Baseball League and was once a co owner of the Sydney kings says he believes a remodelled league can succeed.

Yes of course it can succeed but it would need someone like Bob himself to be in charge hes doing a great job at the ABL

I don't think he's advocating spending somebody else's money at all. In fact he states that it is a problem that "You keep asking for someone else to put their hand in their pocket to keep them alive but there has to be a different model that needs to be looked at to address this". That's pretty much how the league has been run for many years & it's only the clubs that have had a "someone else" with deep enough pockets to fund them that are doing well.

abc1 tvnews ran a long story,last night. The success of ben simmons (mills and baynes), but the struggles of the local league. Crocs,hawks amd no tv without more teams.....and bob turner......

At least Bob Turner and Phi Smyth are being optimistic. Andrew Gaze saying close the league with no ideas of substance is stupid without mega funds to relaunch with a bang.
