Creek back to NBL with which club

Here's one for you to discuss.
If we see Mitch Creek back in the NBL down the track will he come back to Adelaide?
Or go to one of the big 3 Syd, Melb or Perth?

Thoughts...

I don't mean the 2018/19 season

Depends who's left in Adelaide, otherwise Melbourne would be front runner

I wish him well but this is my fear with the way they are tearing this bizarre compo claim. It appears like they are making things awkward for him, also someone asked a similar question to him on instagram and he replied with the shoulder shrug emoji.

Adelaide can't claim anything. If he was under contract maybe, but he didnt accept his player option. Its common for nba teams to payout euro contracts if the player is still under contract.

It also makes no sense because if they want compo why weren't they chasing the german team he was going to play for?

It really only makes Adelaide look unprofessional.

Even if he was under contract to ADL still, it would premature and desperate considering he has probably signed a non-guaranteed training camp deal and training camp doesnt start until September (and ends before the NBL season starts).

If they are requesting compensation at this time; it Makes ADL (and NBL clubs) look money hungry - for a team who has no contractual relationship with the player to ask for coin about a player who is no guarantee to play/get a 2 way deal and 2 months out from the start of training camp.

Highly unlikely he will play for Adelaide again.
His asking price will be too high for Adelaide

Well Horsham is South (and east) of Adelaide, so maybe he'd like to play for the Southern Huskies.

What happened with Ferguson? Had he signed a multi-year contract with the 36ers or was it just one year?

Just trying to realise why 36ers/Thunder had to negotiate a buy-out - presumably it must have been a multi-year deal or have some form of a buyout clause in it?

Didn't Sixers screw up by releasing Ferguson not realising they were entitled to compensation? So now that this situation has arisen again they are being extra careful even if wrong to think so. Sixers HQ have always been amateurish.

Ferguson signed a year contract. The year wasn't up at the time he needed to start summer league.

Which the Sixers didn't realise at the time so let him go for free! They probably are stalling with Creek just to be 100% sure they aren't making a mistake again.
