Carmelo Anthony Traded to Bulls

The Carmelo Anthony era in Houston has officially ended after just half a season and 10 games played. He wasn't happy about coming off the bench so the Rockets banished him from the team whilst still paying his salary.

Chicago are not expected to keep Melo in fact he's not likely to play a game for them as seek to trade him before the deadline and if unsuccessful they'll likely waive him.

The end of Melo's career mirrors that of Allen Iverson's end when he bounced around from team to team either refusing to come off the bench or grumbling enough about having to do so teams just got rid of him.

I suppose the only real question left to ask is if Melo demands the Bulls make him up a jersey like he did with the Hawks when he was traded to Atlanta during the off-season despite knowing he was just a salary dump and would never play a game for them.

An ignominious end for Carmelo Anthony in what will surely be his final season.

Rubbish narrative. He was willing to come off the bench this year. The rockets were going to reduce his role even further though (perhaps to a bench warmer that didn't get on) and that's when they agreed it would be best to go in different directions.

I used to love those Denver teams with AI and Melo running rampant. It's a shame he could not find a good role in his veteran years.

As a bulls fan I actually like to see Melo suit up for them, even if it's just til the deadline and they trade him. Cant be any worse that watching that train wreck of a team.
