Cats v Hawks Feb 1

Triple treat Friday continues with the Wildcats taking on the Hawks. The Hawks's record in the west is about as great as a 120 pound sumo in a belly flopping contest.

The Wildcats went through a woeful period and looked liked as washed up as Hilary Clinton, but when it looked like they would miss out on finals, they came back strongly. Trev G summoning the ghost of Ricky Grace and threatening to pull Redhage out of commentary to slip on his soon to be retired jersey.

The Hawks are still in the hunt, but you would think they have left their run too late.

Records are meant to be broken and the Hawks winning % against the floppy cats will increase one day, but the Steel City in The West is as rusty as Bevo's carrot top.

No en-rust for the Hawks tonight as Perth to win in double figures.

This one will get messy. AJ Ogilvy will pull his usual wimp act in Perth, the Cats will clamp down on Blanchfield and Coenraad as the only two guys who can, you know, actually make an outside shot, and Cotton will tear Jackson a new one. Perth by however many they want.

Perth with ease.
Give Cotton some rest Trev, Cats have a healthy percentage gap on everyone else.

Cats by 12. They'll be up by 20 most of the game but take the foot off and cruise home.

Someone to dunk on Ogilvy thus ending his career for the 2nd time.

"Cotton will tear Jackson a new one"

Except Cotton will be playing against Jett and White.

The Hawks beat the Cats last time, this won't be an easy game for the Cats I feel because they are down Norton.

Big minutes for Martin is a big risk to the team.

Perth should win but we have seen their weaknesses on show before, just whether they can maintain this defensive intensity they lost before.

Lachy mentioned the Norton injury already. He's so biased, Zodiac is going to blow his stack!

Huge game for the Hawks. A win ties them at 12-12 with Bullets and Sixers.

Only in Perth can an away team shoot over 75% and be losing by 7.

Didn't hurt at all. Expected the Hawks to lose by about 300 so I was pleasantly surprised that it was a closeish game, but got a bit tired of every Wildcats shot in the paint being blown a foul.

It was an interesting and largely uncovered backstory that this game brought together a few old Townsville players.

Out of interest (and disregarding import status), who would you take? Perth's Norton, Kay and Steindl or Illawarra's Jett, Conklin and Blanchfield?

Perth's three, but I'd imagine they are also earning 2x as much.

My prediction for someone to dunk on Ogilvy would've been right had he not bitched out and moved out of the way of Cottons HUGE dunk. Couldn't bear being on multiple posters in Perth.
