Fantastic eight years worth of investment by Joey and Sixers. Spent all that time preparing him to tear them apart.

Roberson / Adnam / (DP)?
Madgen / Armstrong / Gibson
Creek / Stephens / (DP)?
Wesley / Trist / Purchase(DP)?
Import / Pineau / Acouth

Has to be a Elite centre for them to challenge

Agree that a lot rides on that import 5 as far as their ceiling goes, but how much better will Creek be after the last 12 months, what sort of production will Madgen and Roberson provide... there's some question marks, but it's not unreasonable to think that they'll be competitive regardless of who they bring in at the 5.

Creek will be in a training camp NBA roster. Won't be in the NBL at all this year IMO.

Would suck for Mitch to have to play NBL frankly. He put his heart and soul into his NBA prospects and in the end the NBA teams are probably going to go "yeah, that's nice and everything. But we want that 22 year old kid who plays like he couldn't give a shit if we win or lose"

Lets be honest, Mitch Creek is not a bona fide NBA player. This is not hating on him, it is fact. He does the grunt work, has a great work ethic, and his shot at landing on a team would be situational at best. Good on him for giving it a go though, and hopefully it does pan out for him. He already has gone further than many would expect, and that most ever will.

Yeah, all credit to Mitch for maximising his potential. If he doesn't make stick in the NBA at least he can say he played there, and he's also likely to be a Boomer at the World Cup and Olympics. His career will be nothing to sneeze at by the end.
