It's pretty common in SA to charge closer to $50, but I don't know about Vic.

$58!!! don't see how you can justify charging so much for just trialling. do they offer anything worth the price?

If you charged $10 in Melbourne people would just go to the club next door

It sounds like the treasure of the club has "lost the plot" if they are charging a fee for junior sport tryouts.

Reason behind the charge??

Is it to cover court costs?
Discourage scrubs from showing up?

If you get picked does it come off your membership?

First time I have heard of it at Geelong or Corio Bay, if true it would be part of the new United format, is what it is I guess...

It was the year before, they haven't charged anything since the new general manager has been there. The person who did charge it just happens to be at Geelong now.
