It's time for Hunt to go!

Why are the Wildcat's still letting the Hunt experiment go any further! He ain't even in the starting line-up, let a lone playing real minutes now! Seems like Coach has even lost confidents! Imagine a true 5 that can defend and block the lanes, they could rival the Kings in 5 games! Is it too late for them to cut him and still pay our his whole contract?

If a change is to be made it needs to be done asap as Perth have 11 games remaining and a replacement player needs to play 7 matches to be eligible for finals which Perth of course are all but guaranteed to be in again.

Hunt did his job against Sydney last time. Not sure why a change is required.

All teams have been hesitant to make import changes.
Perth are on a roll 4 straight and look safe for top 2 finish.

Will be interesting to see if Melbourne make a change given Prather's injury or just go with Stith.

It was get rid of White last season, cats fans hard to please. If I remember correctly, White made Kennedy and McCarron look like they were playing on crutches. Hunt will be fine.

Was pretty difficult for bigs in both games last night to get involved when the refs call bogus fouls non-stop. They basically negated Hunt completely last night. He made a real bad turnover in the last quarter and Gleeson benched him, as he came off Gleeson said something and the players had to hold Hunt back from going after him.

Gleeson is still rollling hunt out in crunch time, hardly a sign of lost faith. When you say they had too hold him back from going after him you make it sound like he was going to knock his block of! They pulled him away from barking back at Trev, something that players have said happens in the heat of the moment regularly. Hunt is clearly sacrificing part of his game playing in Perth, and unable to get a great flow with some of the most phantom fouls going around. I can see Perth utilising his passing more in the playoffs and adding an extra wrinkle to their offence, we know from previous years Perth doesn't run everything they have in the regular season.

It's not a matter of this being "a December thread"
I think that last season the "December thread' was about a 3rd import, and that was a different situation.

But it may come down to cash.
I'm not certain who is included in their bench-cap, and/or if there is simply a budget in place, but it seems Hunt would be a cheaper import.
It's possible they feel they can't get anything better.

It also appears they are using (experimenting?) different rotations. It's possible Trev may not want a genuine big 5?
If you look at the way the team is currently playing, with Jook starting, and Kay & Vague playing Centre, the ideal addition would be a fast and athletic 3/4.

They won it all with McKay as an import centre coming off bench

Won it all without a 3rd import at all.

Currently sit 2nd having won games against the other contenders.

They aren't favourites for the championship but they are definitely in the mix. People are never happy unless everything seems like a certainty.

McKay didn't come off the bench. He was a starter

"They won it all with McKay as an import centre"

So, given McKay was much better than Hunt, and he was backed by Brandt,
you're saying they need to replace both Hunt AND Majok?

Apparently Hungry Jacks have offered to put in money to replace Hunt

Trevor Torrance is right Hunt should go but you know Perth won't make the change.

I must confess that it is frustrating not understanding what is going on...
We start Majok, but he only gets a couple of minutes.
Hunt looks ok at times, but then at times he looks lost.
Not sold on the idea of Vague as a backup 5, although he's got the shoulders for it.

Can't blame him for the losses, which generally occur when Cotton and Kay go flat.
BUT, if we had more of a goto guy at the 5, maybe that frees up Kay, and spreads the scoring pressure around a bit more?

I'd like to know what the plans are to replace Wagstaff. Is it Vague?
