New Zealand Breakers will make playoffs

You heard it here first. The travelling circus will find its way to the top 4 come season's end.

The cancers of Rice and Webster have been cut out, now they are straight killers. Credit to Dan Shamir.

This team is actually serious, and chemistry is sky high.

I'm actually expecting dubs over their next three games (@Hawks, @Bullets and @36ers), which will all but put them in fourth spot.

Straight killers who killed.....SEM who are slumping, at home.

Well done.

Given your history of stupid posting I find that hard to believe.

Everyone knows the super Sixers will make the playoffs.
Stud imports Randle, Moore and Griffin
Aussie stars DJ and Drmic
Valuable role players Teys, White and Dillon
Future stars Kyei, Froling and McVeigh.
Everybody's favourite coach in Wright.
A DP who would make any other roster easily in Bijan.

NZB won't make playoffs but they'll keep things interesting

Brisbane will finish last. There's my big prediction. They're 6-9 And 5 games left against the top 3, of which they might win 1. 2 if they're lucky. 1-4 And 3-5 in the others finishes them at 10-18. With the resurgence of Illawarra and NZ with new/ returned imports and Ball/Hampton not far away, that might not be enough.

Hobson is a guy who improves those around him, and there's plenty of young guys in career best form eg Dech, Naar. Hopson at NZ is a jet.

Delaney similar at NZ, has scored double figures in 5 of their last 6, opportunity awaits him this year and he's grabbing it, after 4 or 5 years at the age of 24. His time is now.

Just looked at fixture, scrap that, Illawarra has 6 games left vs top 3. Tough fixture. They should finish last.

Brisbane vs NZ is a huge matchup with 3 games left.

Who even cares?

It's a three-team league, and three more teams are fighting over the right to get swept out of the playoffs by (probably) Sydney. Does it really matter all that much?

The recent capitulations we've been seeing from them would indicate they're not too keen on the idea either.

I think the playoffs might be a stretch but I expect NZ to have a big say on who gets 4th spot.
I agree LV on Hopson making everyone around him better and with him attacking the rim along with Delaney NZ were able to get to the foul line instead of just bombing away from outside like they have done all season. Delaney went what 9/10 from the free throw line which was a massive change from the days of Vukona & co.
Shamir must still be laughing at the replace Sek Henry comments getting thrown around a few weeks ago. The guy is a stud with the ball in his hands and as good as anyone defensively.
Body language was awesome and Dan Shamir had the playing groups utmost attention when he addressed them.
The players look like they really enjoy playing together and it was superb to see them rewarded with a win.
Delaney looks like he's not only getting better as a player but confident enough to pull guys aside or speak up in the huddle.

Personally don't think it matters.

If they get 4th they’re just going to be bounced in the semis anyway. Miles behind the top 2.

It’s like that team that gets 8th seed in the NBA. Yeah well done you made playoffs but you still finished 8th out of 15 teams in your conference so you’re only mid pack really.

Good to see a reversal of form from:

To be fair, the Breakers finally have a 7-man rotation that knows its role, is team-first and don't have duplicating skillsets. Not having a healthy Loe/Delany took its toll on the team. At the same time, I'm doubtful on playoffs (even if we're 1.5 games back).

More than just a 'good' effort.

Henry's season could be in jeopardy if it's a calf. I didn't even see the incident. Wouldn't be surprised if they get a replacement import in

Fortunately they have enough games left for import cut off.
