Scotty Hopson - The best player in the NBL?

In the Breakers first pre-season game at the Blitz Matt Walsh dubbed Scotty Hopson as the best player in the NBL and "its not even close". A statement that seemed outlandish and premature at the time.

Hopson started off the season well, but unfortunately went down with a knee injury, that sidelined him over a month.

But now that he is healthy and playing extremely well, I think its time to revisit this discussion.

Hopson has led NZ to 3 straight wins, with back-to-back game winners against the Hawks and the Bullets respectively. He is willing the Breakers to a potential playoff berth.

IMO, he is the most talented player in the NBL and I hope to see him back in the league next year.

Definitely top ten and I think he's still improving as he returns from injury. But there is no unanimous best player in the league. This a reflection of how good the league has become, particularly at the top end of players and teams, that it’s very difficult to separate players. Other players worth considering: Cotton, Ware, Bogut, Creek. Machado, Randle, Kay, Webster, Goulding, Patterson all below that top echelon.
