Magnay: Up, up, and away!!!

What a treat? Really big game about to tip-off and Cam T comes out with the stunning news that Magnay has been offered a 10-day contract with GSW.

His 1st half for Bris was stunning.
THEN, as the 2nd half gets underway, announcer claims that Magnay out for 2nd half with a (suspected) thigh strain.

Keeping in mind that it's "only" a 10 day contract, DID THAT COMMENT HURT/DESTROY MAGNAY'S CHANCES WITH GSW?

When in doubt, read into absolutely everything too much.

There is no 10 day contract. Trigger was incorrect. Been rebuffed on twitter by a few types in the know.

His agent and the Warriors have denied it to Olgun FWIW.

Peter hooley and the Felix guy also got involved in denying it. Another cringe moment for the NBL.

Trigger has made a dickhead of himself.

Should have never been put on TV in the first place.

How many incorrect scoops is that for NBL commentators this season?

Wonder what the source was? Very amateur to go to air without credible confirmation.

The source came from the Bullets, who also confirmed to the Courier Mail on the night that the Warriors has serious interest in Magnay.

Do you think the Warriors front office and the agent are telling Olgun Uluc ANYTHING until the deal is done? Absolutely not.

The Bullets are still technically alive in the playoffs and there'll be no decision made until after they are knocked out. Magnay also got a quad injury last night.

Hilarious that Olgun Uluc tweets something and people take it as NBA gospel haha

Warriors assistant Ron Adams loves Magnay and Bogut apparently vouched for him.

I’d watch this space before I rule out anything.

I'm sure it WILL happen. But don’t report it as done until it actually is. Olgun is an arrogant tool, but he is technically correct as of today.

You don't go from the NBL direct to a 10-day contract... That's one of the dumbest stories I've heard.

He might get an offer to join a g-league team at most.

Unbelievable journalism.

Being draft eligible he might get workouts too.
Spending time training in the States will be beneficial.

Sources inside the Bullets camp said there was a 10 Day Contract on the table for Magnay. All that was reported was he will have a decision to make after his NBL season is over. So far NONE of this has been disproven! Olgun is NOT right as there was no mention of a contract being DONE at all. It's an offer that Magnay’s team will allegedly look at. The Warriors apparently want a look before Summer League.

He's not draft eligible!

If this does come off though it’s a big coup for the NBL getting it out first. If it doesn’t come off who cares. Few keyboard warriors (no pun intended) with their noses out of joint wont worry the league one bit.

There might be some truth to it but nothing concrete. Player agents are in constant touch with US counterparts. Any good Australian 6ft 9" or taller that are athletic and have smarts are a chance as the nbl is now valued as fertile ground. I've heard of others being mentioned, three from the kings roster.

Really? I seem to remember Andrew Gaze doing just that to Washington.
