NBL Import Performances in 1st Round

A fair few of the imports seem to have got off to a slow start

With the shortened/complex preseason and quarantines etc, maybe not so surprising.

Adelaide look like having worst duo in the league.

Cairns duo still the best.

Yes, good observation. I thought Hopson looked very rusty. Adelaide trio very poor. Jarell Martin was impressive, aggressive with a strong inside game.

Adelaide trio? It is just Sloan and Croker.

*sorry "duo". I'm sure they will improve but didn’t look great first up.

I thought Vic Law looked dangerous. He has a combination of physical tools and skills that make him a tough cover in this league.

I just think Sloan and Crocker will be too old/unathletic make a serious impact on the league. And without them scoring, how will we put up a winning score? Giddey is a rookie, talented yes but not a great shooter yet. DJ will score. Outside of them I don't see a reliable, consistent offensive threat. Gonna be a long season. Having watched last nights games, I think we are a very good bet for the wooden spoon.
