Larry must really hate Illawarra

After a month of being in Melbourne, the Hawks first game post-NBL Cup is in ...

... Melbourne.

Then away to Perth.

First home game is a Monday night 2 weeks away.

Everybody barring Adelaide get home games before the Hawks. Sydney and Perth get THREE before the Hawks first.

Larry must really hate the Hawks (and Adelaide)

Heavy rain forecast this weekend. We'll see!

If not fixed (the management of the WEC is ultimately with the State Government), maybe I should've said "Gladys Bereljikian really hates Wollongong"!

In fairness, it's not like Adelaide and Cairns haven’t had any home games to date....

Cairns & Illawarra have always copped a rough shake when it comes to scheduling so they’ll both be fine. It’s ordinary but Larry and co. couldn’t give a hoot, they won’t be in Wollongong in a year or two so no foul!

Melbourne go on the road next week...to Bendigo. Then back home for a road game v SEM. It's bullshit.

As a Breakers fan I don't really care to hear other teams complaining about scheduling this year....

United have always had favourable scheduling but this season takes the cake. It’s a joke.

Sorry but according to the NBL ladder the Hawks have played 5 home games with a record of 3 and 2.

So the 4 in the NBL cup are classed as home games with the other 4 away.

Even though they have played united in the gong as the only actual home game to date.

They haven't even finalized the rest of the schedule so it looks like a rolling one for the rest of the year.

If you had to ask you missed the point.

I'll take the bet that they’re not in Wollongong past 2023.

Is it really that bad to have a lot of road games in a row?

I'd prefer to have several in a row away so you can have several in a row at home as opposed to playing home and away one after the other.

If you're a WAG of someone within the team and you miss your partner then I feel sorry for you but things will get (more) even soon.

As for United getting an advantage, to steal a line from Hammer "they are poking themselves in the eye right now" so if they accumulate more losses then it doesn't matter where they play

Monday nights is a horrible night for an area mostly of young families. It's the same as last season, hawks will be moved on in a season or two.

Wtf is it with this crap about the Hawks being moved.

Exactly where to and dont sprout places like Canberra or Newcastle both had teams and both failed.

Hawks to stay in name but moved on is my guess. A lot will depend on crowds this year but if they keep getting Monday night games it's not going to be pretty.

It would have been useful to have the NBL schedule up already for the April school holidays. There will be lots of fans who will have now made arrangements to go to different sports (AFL) or events.

Correct, Canberra is not an option and either is Newcastle. Larry would be looking to move them to Sydney...and so would their majority owner who lives in StLouis and has zero care for where they play. Colangelo and Dori are just front men, the bloke putting up all the pesos is an enigma.

A second Sydney team lol seriously the Kings pulled out for years before they made a come back and don't even start with the Razorbacks what a joke of an organisation that was.

If LK was that concerned he would have tried to sell the licence to some one else other then who he sold it to.

He should've sold it to that Illawarra bloke, who I now believe is mates with that rich American owner guy.

Yep and it worked so well for United... but that doesn't meet the LK "tin foil hat" brigade....
Does anyone understand that during travel restrictions, uncertainty around border closures and limited crowd numbers. The Vic government came up with the cash for a tournament which made it possible to have so many games in a short time frame.
But still the flogs on here complain that its all a conspiracy for MU....
