Rob Loe set to return

https://i.stuff.co.nz/sport/basketball/300272918/rob-loe-set-to-rejoin-nz-breakers-for-remainder-of-australian-nbl-season

Breakers could have really done with this just 1-2 weeks earlier. But they possibly knew this was on the cards as it now explains the Randolph signing.

If Creek is removed in the near future and the injuries at other clubs do we have a crazy race for the playoffs?

Such awesome news having Rob Loe back.
Gives the roster so much more balance.

I wonder who's losing their roster spot as I believe you can only have 10 players on your roster excluding Next Stars and DP's?

T.Webster/J.Weeks
C.Webster/R.Bach/W.Mcdowell White
T.Abercrombie/L.Randolph
F.Delaney/D.Trist
C.Iverson/R.Loe

My bet is Trist but Weeks hasn't exactly set the league on fire this season in the limited minutes he has played.

Love will be rusty, good news but no won't play finals. Weeks is the one to go, Trist has done ok and nz got enough guards.

Great to see Loe back. Iverson needs more support.
I see Trist being taken out.

Plus with the NZ travel bubble opening up Breakers are planning games at home starting in May.

Surely Trist. Ever since's he's been in the NBL he has done nothing.

I too would expect Dan Trist to move aside. Weeks has to much experience and brings some hustle at least.

T.Web/J.Weeks
C.Web/WMW
T.Abercrombie/R.Bach
F.Delaney/L.Randolph
C.Iverson/R.Loe

Be awesome with the travel bubble to get some home games here in Auckland.
The team must have a pep in their step after hearing this news.

As a fan of this team, honestly we always have the most dramatic seasons lmao.

Breakers look to make a run here, I suspect unfortunately too late.

Sydney has to be a primary target for anyone outside of the top four.

Travel bubble still has to happen after the new case in NZ. I'd be surprised if the league go down the road of rostering games in NZ.

This sounds like last season all over again.

We had a decent team on paper, we had crazy injuries and crazy imports, then we make this crazy run and get close.

The eight man rotation is up there with the best in the NBL, and if everyone is healthy... watch out league. We may just be too far behind (then again, we said that last season too)

At 5-12 NZ are only two losses off Brisbane 10-10.
19 games remaining for NZ and 16 for Brisbane so it's not impossible for them to make it.

I think they'll make an epic run but fall short by a game or points differential. Loe will be rusty, but if for 10-15mpg he is much better than Trist or Galloway (good talent, but just not up for this level just yet). Trist hasn’t been too bad lately, he’s tried hard. I wouldn’t be surprised if Weeks is let go, he’s a shadow of his former self.

This is too late.

NZ have the most games in hand but will need about 19 wins to get into the playoffs, probably more like 20 given their God awful for/against (3rd worst).

This will mean they have to be 14-5 in their next 19 games just to stand a chance of getting in. And at this stage there looks to be 1 probably playoff spot available if SEM keeps their full roster.

The lights at the end of the tunnel are Sydney, Adelaide and Brisbane are suffering significant absences due to injuries.

Playing Perth in Launceston this weekend after Perth has been to Sydney and Adelaide could help win one against the champs, that would help.

Lol, yes. It's tough being a breakers fan.

It's tough being a Kiwi sports fan in an Aussie league. Just be thankful you’re not a Warriors fan!

I think a lot will turn on Creek. Broekhoff is a world class shooter but NBA bench Specialists - local or import – never dominate. SEM will be sweating on Creek to continue playing.
