Plays like Derrick Rose in terms of attacking the rim and hesitation dribble. Comes from a strong activist family. Hopefully he plays 10-15 mins a game in his first year.

If he's agreed to sign with Sydney, then maybe he knows who their next coach is?

They sign a player who averaged 6 points a game at college last season.

Will not get on crt and terrible decision for his future.
Some of these guys just expect 35 minutes in college ball.
Have to check who the Rainbows have picked up in guards.

Martin was brought in to play the 5 this season, who knows why, he's a 4 man. Lucky Hunter stood up it would have been Kickett. Other than the guards none of the others are signed, Martin has an option, club or his , not known. They have a lot work to do starting with the coach.

Two players from Hawaii previously signing the nbl, Kauny Kauny and Purchase.

Averaged 6pts so he's a bust? What are you farking on? What was his role? What offence did they run? Was he playing behind a senior at his position? Fark off you twat

If he's left college it didn't work out. He could change colleges and chose not to. Kings obviously knew about him and grabbed the chance to sign him. Go Kings let's beat Perth tonight!

He played juniors for Sydney Comets.Went to college as stated and is currently playing Waratah 1 for Inner West Bulls where the money is as is the Assistant Coach of the Kings who is the Head Coach of the Bulls team and where Kickert(until he decided to walk out on themt and Moller played last season and suppose to be playing with them again this season once NBL is over and also heard Newley was maybe going to play there as well.

Bayles has been playing with the COE and NBA Global Academy prior to that.

Will probably make the Emus team but is up against some good opposition to make it.

Has a bit of an ego and loves a bit of trash talk which does not hold him in good stead with opposition players and coaches.

You're right. He’s not worthy of a contract. Nobody who has averaged 6pts or less in their freshman year has ever achieved success in the professional hoops.

Surprised his ex Comets junior coach(currently Hawks Asst Coach) did not try to get him down to Wollongong.

I coached against him at U18 AJCs, where he was one of the top performers. He has potential to be a pretty decent NBL player.

And I reckon Mick Corkeron went to Hawaii.

He led his team in assists and shot 43% from the arc as an 18 year old. I think he'll be fine.

There has been a player average 2 points a game in college and then come here and score 20 points per game..... and average about 15 points per game in 4 or 5 years in the league

Dave Thomas would be close to this. He averaged 3ppg over his 4 year college career and was a great NBL import.

Jack white averaged 2.7ppg as a senior and he seems like a good NBL player.

College stats, div 1 or div 2, has no real correlation to how well a guy will perform in this league based on what we've seen. Devon Hall had a very solid senior year for Virginia in one of the best conferences in the nation and he didn't exactly set the league on fire. For every John Mooney there are a few Devon Halls.

A freshman starting at pg at any D1 level is very rare. Kid will be a solid pro

Hall was fine, he had two ball hogs who never gave up the ball. Was given little chance to break out and make an impact - especially with a coach like Fearne. All I took with him was one missed tag up and you were out - especially if you were an import.

Hall wasn't fine he was one of the worse performed imports that season he was meant to be a specialist shooter and shot poorly all season. He averaged 9.2 ppg and shot 36.3% from the field and 33.9% on 3pts.

Averaging 6 points at Hawaii isn't great, but we’ll have to wait and see. His athleticism will help at the pro level as long at the skills are there.
Jack White’s 2-3 points at Duke (White) with Williamson and Barrett taking most of the shots clearly hid his talent offensively as he was known as a very strong defender while there.

I don't care how good or bad his college career was. I want to know why Sydney get a player that doesn't count towards the cap? What does that achieve? It doesn't benefit the player or other Indigenous youth but it gives Sydney another free hit under the guise of a pathway.

Plus this is Paul Smith we're talking about, who only twelve months ago disparaged the entire idea of Indigenous involvement in the NBL.

Yeah, if there are too many more exemptions we'll have teams unable to reach the salary floor at this point. Four marquee spots, a Next Star spot, a Whatever-the-Asian-Player-Rule-is-Now spot, an indigenous spot...seven players for basically nothing.
