Bullets @ Wildcats Dec 12

The Cats will host the Bullets this afternoon in Purrrth.
One team might win but the other team could also win. Who am I to speculate further than that.
The real winner will be basketball.
This has been my preview.
Please come back Jack.

Different coach, same result with the refs. In all that Brisbane got some crap players starting with Krebs, Deng.

Good game, Brisbane not deep but certainly playing better than I thought, defensively much better this season, cats to lose from here though.

the comment about home cooking is quite correct when it comes to the Wagstaff flops being rewarded or ignored. Has the NBL relaxed its stand on flopping or something?

Cats Seem to have gone from a great flowing offensive structure with Gleeson to one on one shots and drives to the basket. Need ways to get the shooters open looks and to create layups and driving opportunities.

How many sitters that rolled out for Brisbane we should have lost be 10+

It's amazing how different your offence is when your coach doesn't abuse and intimidate (with the help of 13,000 fans) the referees into letting dodgy screens go and calling BS fouls on the opposition.

That's the biggest Glesson factor the Wildcats will miss.

Really happy with the result and very surprised. I thought that we (Bullets) would get beaten in this one.

Quick look over the stats shows that both teams played an eight-man rotation. 2 players stood out. LP and Cotton. LP was incredibly efficient and Bryce wasn't. Law and Franks were fabulous to watch but nearly cancelled each other out.

The other stat that stood out was the +/- . Every starter for Bris had a positive rating and every bench player had a negative one.

Good to see Drmic up and cheering his team after his reaction over his injury. Hope he's ok.

One of the greatness NBL games I've seen in awhile. Great fightback from the Brisbane Bullets.

If this game didn’t go in double overtime it wouldn’t of been as good. Too low scoring with the 40m game. This game was much better when it went into overtime. NBL are very silly sticking with the 40m game with the great talent we have in the NBL this season. You only get good games time to time with the 40m game.

JackJumpers games have been really low scoring as a good example.

Full credit to the buzzas for that one.

ScoMo has got some work to do. Obviously we are not at full strength but I've been pretty underwhelmed by our offence so far.

"NBL are very silly sticking with the 40m game with the great talent we have in the NBL this season.":

The NBA have 15-man rosters all of whom are amongst the best in the world, and their 15th could possibly be a starter in the NBL. They have talent to burn over 48 mins.
The NBL have 13-man rosters including DPs, Rookies, NSs and and a couple of imports who can't get a game in the NBA, probably an 8-man rotation.

This game went to double over-time. With a 48-min game it would have gone to 58 mins. Drmic gets injured early, other front-line players NA, both Cotton and Patterson had 4 fouls. The rotations are reduced or weakened.

"You only get good games time to time with the 40m game.":
So far NBL, 1 x 24pt win, all others, 12pts or under, with 2 OT games. Most have been good games. In the NBA, the margins have been similar.

It's not just the number of minutes....

So I had my one chance, got called up for the half court shot and man, I overcooked it by an inch! Perfectly online but caught the back of the iron! Was a great experience, I've always wanted that half court shot and I was so damn close. Got 4 courtside seats in what was a fantastic game even if we did lose.

We always used to size up the person going up and usually our comment would be, "why did this person even enter"! :P

If I had shot from a foot back it would've been a swish!
