Mavs winning too. Didn't realise Green was likely to contribute much scoring at NBA level.

Should Goorj have played Green instead of Sobey?

"Should Goorj have played Green instead of Sobey?"

With hindsight, perhaps. At the time, Sobey safer bet, IMO.

Green has definitely improved and will be the preferred option from now on.

Sobey's future (for Boomers)? I can't see him not giving it a nudge and then who knows? He is a determined bugger and will, at least, put lots of pressure on whoever beats him to a spot.

Fortunately, seems like we have a good (great, actually) mix of experience and skillful, 'blooded' new generation.

Would a handful of minutes being swapped from Sobey to Green have changed a 20 point loss? I highly doubt it so there should be no regrets.

Different positions

I'm sure Green could play out of position just as well.

Are they actually different positions? I sure as shit didn't see Sobey handle the ball up the court competently at the Olympics. If he can't handle the ball then he must've been playing the same spots as Green

I wonder how much Arizona paid him?

Green played 3 and Sobey played 1 at the Olympics, blind?

Maybe I was being too subtle, Sobey wasn't good enough to be on the court and when he was he did nothing good. Green at least has the potential to develop and is showing that now

The point guard combo of Sobey and Delly (sorry Delly) were woeful. Thankfully we could always go with Patty or Jingles. Green seemed like a mini-Thybulle in the limited minutes he got. Can't believe our PG stocks were so low we resorted to Sobey playing out of position (thanks Lemanis). Should have just taken Giddey, couldn’t have been any worse.

Giddey is the one who should've been taken with the benefit of hindsight, if anyone.

Boomers future looking very bright with Giddey, Green, Thybulle, Landale and Exum having plenty of upside left.

I've watched the last few games and his confidence has skyrocketed. Its great to see as a mavs fan and aussie. He will fit in really nicely next to giddey

Giddey is woeful on defence, would've been exposed at the Olympics.

lol and Sobey wasn't exposed? There would have been more upside giving those minutes to Green and Giddey, but it all turned out well, so there's no real point arguing in hindsight, just registering as pro or anti-Sobey :)

Giddey & Green would've been preferable imo

Delly & Exum should've shared the PG mins. Though Ingles too could slot in there.

Our future probably looks like

Giddey Exum
Green (King Proctor)
Daniels Thybulle
Simmons (Cooks White)
Landale (Reath Maker Humphries)

Spacing might be an issue.
Simmons Thybulle Giddey Exum not known for their shooting & too good to leave out.

Obviously sine mightn't play.

Our Bigs are a huge step down atm from Bogut Baynes.

But hopefully one of them really carries on in the NBA.
