WNBL schedule for Rounds 13-15 released

After a delayed start, too many postponed/ rescheduled/ cancelled games to count, countless RAT tests and a Regional Victorian hub, the WNBL can announce the fixture for the remainder of the season has been locked in.

Rounds 13, 14 and 15 are set with a best of three semi and grand final series to follow from March 23.

With the announcement that the WA border is due to open on March 3, Perth Lynx is set to host their first home games since January of 2020 and reunite with the red and black army from Round 13.

Due to border closures and the impact on Perth Lynx, the WNBL made the decision to move to a 17-game home and away season, with all teams playing each other at least twice.

The Lynx will host Adelaide, the UC Capitals and Sydney throughout the final three rounds, with the Flames' set for their first trip west since November 2019.

The final month of the season will see the race to the finals heat up, with the top four teams fighting for home-court advantage and the league’s most elite players continuing to leave their best on the floor as they play for a grand final appearance.

Cant see any changes to the top 4 , Townsville will probably be without 2 starters for the rest of the season due to injury and have a horrible run in finishing with 2 games against Perth is 2 days.

Expansion on the table again.
Tasmania and a south east qld team the two front runners it seems.

Everyone complaining that the Lynx were allowed to pack up and go home, and yet they're scheduled for even more road games...

Thought it was going to be a 50+ point flogging. Credit to Bendigo really, if they had played in the first quarter the way they did for most of the remainder of the game they probably would've won it. Lightning dodged a bullet.

You have to look at the starters and their mindset when a WNBL start 30-0 down. Maybe the "captain" should stop trying to burn the candle at boths ends and either commit to AFLW or WNBL, it is not a team first mindset to be playing both.

WNBL has to be moved or talent pool will be drained

Great win, Spirit. Loved that. Quality team basketball. I thought fatigue would catch up with them down the stretch but they held strong.

Flyers play with an arrogance that is not warranted by their 3-9 record.

Maley should be a combo forward in the opals squad averaging 21-16-3 but it's clear sandy will still choose those from the Tokyo squad.

Maley would give the Opals a bit of a hurry up.
Some things they're too hot to touch.

5'7 Mansfield, better than both Heal/Rocci atm
5’8 Lavey
5’10 Whitcomb
5’11 Wallace, exp in wnba should solidify her spot
6’2 Talbot
6’2 Allen
6’2 Maley, just way too consistant to leave out
6’4 Smith or 6’2 Garbin, it’ll be tough decision come WC time
6’4 Magbegor
6’4 George
6’5 Tolo

Last spot should be 1 of Nicholson, Kunek or Blicavs.
I think Kunek needs a look at asap in lead up games.

I don’t see George or Tolo lasting much longer at centre beyond 2022/2023.

Was the clock displayed on the broadcast wrong?? Looked like the game ended with about 1 second left.
