Cats easy, hopefully a better standard than the last game.

Said it before (even when he was under 30), Corey Webster is no good. He's really not going to help you win too much.

Blanchfield is approx 2 from 30 from the arc since preseason. No way he should be starting over Travers

It's looking like Travers is being brought of the bench so Rillie can work out where best to use him.

I reckon the Hawks should gamble with a stretch 4 who can defend.
I'd want the ball as much as possible in the hands of King and Harvey

Why would you start Travers and add another lesser-shooter into the line-up to crowd things for Cotton, especially with Manek not hitting much at the moment? Bring him off the bench with Wagstaff and then you maintain balance in the line-up.

He shot 2/4 from three in the first game.

Given Blanchfield's shooting has been terrible since last season and can't do anything else, I'd rather Travers with his secondary ball handling and defense.

I've got no issue with LT off the bench. He's still getting his minutes.

Get sick of watching Cotton get mugged of the ball, practically clotheslined of ball, no call, then nothing on the end of half buzzer beater. With some of the soft and ones surely the league best gets a call right?

If I had to describe how Cotton gets treated by NBL refs, "hard done by" is not a phrase I'd use.

To their credit, Hawks are doing a very effective job of restricting Cotton.
Can't fault them for playing to the full extent of what the refs are allowing.

Angus watch him off ball for an extended period of time, no other player in our league gets that sort of off ball treatment. For a multiple mvp he doesn't get the same calls others do

I was just watching Creek hug Hogg off the ball before every inbound the last minute or two of the previous game. It happens, it's never called, and it's not just Cotton.

Mathiang is the biggest man on the court and he's not being fed in the post.
Bad offense.

NBL teams just don't feed their bigs enough.
You've got options to both score and pass from the post, but instead, it's just jack up a 3 with a hand in face.

I'll take the wrap I gave to jakomas back, he threw that away with dumb coaching down the stretch. Dent was woeful and he stuck with him, Deng isn’t a smart player either.
Rillie is getting the home cooking up again, not to Gleeson standard yet but on the way.
Cats won’t match it with the kings at present.

Deng had Webster down low on a mismatch......and kicked it out.
???
You have to use your height and athleticism and shoot over him - hook, fade away, up n under......something

The screen apology was so unnecessary- just PC in overdrive.

Would she have publicly apologised if she'd mistakingly said someone was from Ballarat if they were actually from Dubbo?

Most players be unlucky to step on someone's foot once in a season, Thomas already twice in a few months. Frustrating as we cannot really replace him if he goes down. If Illawara had attacked the paint more we would not have won.

I think with Manek you have 2-3 more weeks where you have to seriously consider putting him on a plane back to the US. Dont want a repeat of Michael Frazer.

Cotton needs mould his game to shoot 3 pointers from further out, might help him against these taller guards.

Screen called Keanu Pinder a Torres Strait Islander when he is an Aboriginal, in the previous game, then came on during a timeout of this game to read a prepared apology.

Hardly Perth home cooking. Perth actually played well for significant portions, esp defensively, but just looked dis jointed on O. 7 turnovers to 18, bit felt they blew some easy fast break opportunities. Hawks got up early on the back of some very hot shooting. Hawks def had portions of dominance, but most was from offence or Perths inability to run offence, not so much Hawks disrupting what they were trying

Conceding just 22 points in the 2nd half was a nice change from giving up 49 in the first.

One of those games where not much went right but still managed to escape with a W.
I haven't seen a Wildcats game that ugly since ... last season.

Imagine being bothered by an apology that had nothing to do with you.

People complaining about PC overdrive are the ones who whinge the most.

If you watched the Taipans presser with Coach Forde you would know that Pinder was particularly bothered by the comment so what's the issue with the NBL wanting to deliver this straight away?

I don't blame Pinder for being upset, I’d hate to be called a Queenslander as well.
