Career high 33 from McVeigh in the G-League

McVeighs manager is really important for him going forward. Good money should be available to him.

Roth has said McVeigh already has big money offers on the table in Europe and Asia if he does not stay in the NBA. The ultimate of course would be to land a full roster spot in the NBA which isn't looking entirely out of the question at the moment.
Armstrong has also been very impressive in his limited games so far and GSW genuinely look to develop their 2 way players. Looks very promising for him too down the track.

Josh Giddey is the first player of ALL TIME to put up a 15/10/15/8 statline

And ???
The NBA maps every possible combination and assigns it as if it matters.
From your comment, Isaac, it seems like he's not the first to get a 15/10/17/8 combination?

I don't know how you feel about maths, but the statement tells you that he was the first to put up 15/10/15/8, 15/10/16/8 and 15/10/17/8. It's a way of stating the uniqueness of the combination and also noting the margin over alternatives. It's not an uncommon convention.
And more palatable I think than the "First time anyone has ever had these stats with 62%+ FG and in March after 5pm" stuff that stat-tracking sites sometimes put out.
Apparently also the closest anyone has got to a quad double in 20ish years.
Six of the eight steals were off LeBron and Luka too.

Its fair to say Giddey is a much better NBA player than anyone expected.

I was stirring you up, Isaac. And your last post was great.
And I agree, ME - certainly better than I ever thought he would be, even though his career started with such an impact

Another scalp for Giddey today, beating the Nuggets on the road.
Giddey with 26/8/9. 8/11 FG, 2/3 3P.

I haven't watched any of his recent games, so hopefully someone else can enlighten me.
Is he doing so well because someone else is drawing the attention and leaving him free, or because he’s taken on the role of main man, or are they running plays for him, or ???

When asked in a recent presser
Chicago coach Billy Donovan said that the change has come about because Josh has put away the floater.
The style that he is now employing since the all star break is to take it hard to the rack, and if someone helps out then his passing is good enough to always find that open player.
No more running floaters since the All Star break.
Personally I like the way Josh and Dyson are feeding off each other. From the socials it looks like they spent that break together and they apparently text each other once or twice or more a day exchanging ideas and just general support

For the sake of the Boomers, that sounds fantastic. They, Josh and Dyson, getting chemistry, "a la" Patty and Joe.

Changed topic title to "ultra beast month"...
Not even half-time against the Lakers again and Giddey has 11/8/6.
Edit: Secures the triple double with a minute to play. 22 points, 14 boards, 11 assists.

Going by the live scores, looks like Giddey hit a three from 46 feet to win the game on the buzzer?
Check these last 10.1 seconds, Bulls down 5.
10.1 Williams three, Vuc assist
7.1 Giddey steals from LeBron, assists
6.0 White three, Giddey assist
3.1 Reaves layup
0.0 Giddey makes 46 foot three point shot
Bulls 119-117.
Giddey: 25/14/11.
Video of the half-court game winner. Fucking incredible.

Beast mode resumes. 15 points, 19 rebounds and 12 assists today. Game-high +10 and a home win against Portland.
Wonder how Chicago are currently feeling about that Caruso move?

Considering that today Caruso shot 0-4 / 0-2 / 2-2 for 2pts in 19:35 mins in a loss to the Rockets...
yeah probably not feeling the best today about that trade
In the same match great to see Matisse get the start for 7/4/2/1 in 27 mins, although Blazers did have a few outs.

Giddey vs Hornets: 23/10/8. Still rolling.
Looking back at his numbers month by month.
Jan: 10/8/6 (31 MPG, 44/47/83; notably 1.1 FTA)
Feb: 20/8/6 (33 MPG, 50/54/83; jumps to 4.4 FTA)
Mar: 20/10/9 (33 MPG, 49/36/77; up further to 6 FTA)
Apr: 16/13/12 (34 MPG, 36/33/77; now 8.5 FTA)
April admittedly just three games so far, but definitely stands out that he's going to the line more as strategy and/or opportunity.

Bulls in 9th playing Heat in 10th, and presumably jostling for home court in a play-in game, plus I assume a chance to get ahead of Atlanta in 8th?
Regardless, Giddey again with a big game. 28 points, 16 rebounds, 11 assists, 5 stocks.

Josh Giddey seeks $120+ million contract
Josh Giddey is one of the more interesting players in free agency this summer. Last season with the Bulls, he averaged 14.6 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 7.2 assists per game, and looked even better after the All-Star break when more responsibility fell to him (and half the East was tanking). However, he's not a strong defender and how much he contributes towards winning basketball is up for debate (there is a reason the Thunder were willing to move on from him). Can he put up these numbers in games that matter?
Considering all that, how much do the Bulls want to pay the restricted free agent? He is seeking at least five years, $120 million reports Jake Fischer at The Stein Line. Previous rumors had Giddey seeking more like $150 million across five years ($30 million a season), which seemed steep.
However, $120 million in the modern NBA is third-star money. After watching him up close, do the Bulls think he can be that guy? Giddey can put up counting stats, but can he prove to do more than just that?

The "OKC gave Giddey away" thing is a little over done. They traded away a guy who needs the ball in his hands to be effective when they already háve two guys who are better and in return got back an elite role player.
Giddey will be a guy who won't fit a lot of teams but could be really valuable to a team who doesn't have a star lead guard but maybe has talent in other places. I thought the Spurs before they got Fox would have been a good fit.
Orlando could be a good fit where they desperately need some guard play.

I don't think so. I don’t see how Giddey elevates a team despite being extremely and uniquely talented. And I don’t see how he fits in with anyone else without becoming passive. He’s this in between type player. I wouldn’t pay him that.
