new rule principals for Nbl season

Nbl.com talks about the new points of emphasis for this season in the Nbl.

I like this one about fould in the back court because as a guard I have always been of the opinion that there is too much contact on the dribbler and also the defensive rebounder.

Incidental contact in the backcourt should be considered under advantage/disadvantage principles. HOWEVER the following circumstances warrant a foul when players are face to face, and are:

* Physically holding an opponent
* Using an extended arm bar
* Directing an opponent with hands or arms.

As with all hand checking principles, defence is to be played at all times with the feet rather than hands or arm.

The nbl says it wants to introduce a more fan friendly type of game ,a better spectacle.
I hope the refs follow the new pricipals,that should suit the 36ers just fine since they have been a fairly loose team under phil.

I know that it says teams were warned at the Blitz but do you think this nbl.com.au article is in reference to an article in The Australian - which I am surpised no one bought up earlier about Boy Goorj having a whinge about the umps

Article

I read the article and I don't think he is whinging about the umps at all. He is saying he thinks the rules from the league on behaviour are too tight.
