SAC u-14 Girls win Gold!

Well done to Peter Seebohm, Grace Allen and all the SAC Sharks girls for taking the gold medal over at the Australian Junior Country Championships in Albury/Wodonga.

A fantastic effort knocking off NSW in the final, and wiping Vic (by 50+ points) along the way. 8-0 for the tourny. Well done also to Flea and Libby and the Magpies in finishing 3rd at 7-1 for the week. Great results for the entire 14 girls squad.

14 boys Sharks also should be recognised showing alot of guts in making it to the GF, however going down to Vic (a reversal of their game earlier in the rounds). And the 14 Boys magpies had a solid week with wins over NSW and NZ finishing 5th (i think).

As a parent of Fleas Squad, i say fantastic job Sharks, and Maggies !! The blitzkreig on NSW and Victoria was great to watch.

Well done Peter and girls. Fantastic win.

And the Flea Squad didnt fall too far short.

Flea was working overtime !! and the girls put in all they had.

We lost the most important game by a small margin, against a team we already beat.

Fantastic week. Once again, well done the Peters Sharks. Also the U14 boys for a fantastic effort.

Also congrats to the U16 Boys Sharks team who convincingly won (around 40pts from memory) the bronze medal match in a strong age group.

Well done Under 16's Boys, Sharks.

Finishing third in a very tough comp, is very admirable.

Maybe we should bring the comp more South Aus way.

And let them experience much harder courts, with less give, then the carry rule might apply somewhat.

I witnessed some shocking carrying, but the refs didnt seem to pick it.

But its all good, most winners win on there home turf.

Anon, from what I could make out the albury/wadonga courts were 'harder' than most SA courts, some almost feeling like they werent sprung at all. Much different to the multitudes of dead spots at the port, hillcrest etc.
