Play Burdon Campaign!!!

Ok time is enough Phil, you are out the door at seasons end so no one cares about you still playing Sutton cos you "discovered" him last season.

It is obvious to everyone sitting in the stands that Eze needs to get playing time, especially ahead of Sutton.

If we want to look at this critically,

Better Defender
Burdon

Better Shooter
Burdon

Better ball handler
Burdon

Better State league player
Burdon

So come on Phil give Eze a chance, he may just save your butt yet!

Wouldn't Burdon be competing more with Ng and Copeland for minutes than Sutton who is usually backing up Davidson at the point?

I would like to see Erik get more of a crack.

Ng and Sutts have both become too specialised. Sutts needs to be more of an offensive threat, while Ng needs to handle the ball better against pressure, hence Erik is not as brittle as either of those two.

If so Isaac, that is even more reason to play Erik!!

Copeland is 42... 42!!! What the hell did Smyth achieve by putting him into the game with three minutes left on Sunday? The fact that we have a 42yo in the team who appears to have license to jack up ill advised shot after shot sums up this year's team.

Ng is most likely to leave anyway due to medical studies so lets at least give the time to a guy who we know for certain will be here next year instead of encouraging another youngster to move somewhere else. Erik is a better defender anyway, probably not as automatic as Ng from 3, but a brillinat shooter nonetheless and can actually create for others. My pacemaker will not have to work overtime when Erik is dribbling the ball either.

I hate Phil not getting him into the game in garbage time like the Melbourne game where we should be resting guys like Maher, Davidson and Ballinger.

Personally, when we are getting beaten by 20+, I actually look forward to the young guys getting a run. It's alomost as if I forget about the score for the next few mins. It gives the fans something to cheer about as they all love to get behind the rookies.

At garbage time home games, what is wrong with playing Dodman, Dench, Ng, Burdon and Sutton? Sure it might be a small(er) lineup buy come on, blood some youth into the damn program!!!

BTW, I think there is a growing acknowledgement that Sutton is vastly overrated. I kind of think that we all got carried away with his performances last year because it was the first time in ages Adelaide folk actually got to watch a home grown player getting a chance to prove himself. As much as I love Sutts, he should not be starting for any NBL team, regardless of injuries.

In the last few games when our season is meaningless(which is will be, sadly) we should wrap Mahersy in cotton wool and play Erik instead.

PLAY EZE!!!!

I agree. Play Burdon. The boy can shoot and was'nt scared when he got some court time. Yes Burdon is more of a shooting guard, so he should get Copelands minutes.

Do you blokes that support Sutton actually go the games. He's got no confidence and can't shoot. He is a backup point guard at best and therefore should get backup point guard minutes.

Do you think that given the right opportunities he would doninate Ryan Kersten style?

Joe, who? Burdon and Kersten?

Have you watched any Breakers games this year where Kersten has played? He's done pretty well in limited opportunities.

Joe M, which 'either'?

after Davidson and Maher, there is a very big gap to the next level of 36er guards and i cannot really separate the 2 of them, or the 3 of them, or the 4 of them...

Eze should be getting those minutes. He can play both the 1 and 2 position. Sutton has had his opportunity and hasn't done much with it. If they give eze these sort of opportunities I'm certain they will get alot more return

I have to agree with this, Sutton seems to have really dropped his game from last season. Give Burdon his minutes and see where it gets him.

Sutton also played alot better after Burdon was on, maybe the thought of loosing his spot might get his arse into gear.

Give Sutton his dues, he has spent another year under Phil.
