This is the reason I never applaud them. I assume they are not performing for me because they always have their backs to me. They perform for the people in the Southern stands, not the northern.

I would also rather see them dancing to music that will HELP pump up the crowd. Some of their routines are rather slow and dont motivate me at all...act more like cheer leaders and not calisthenics routines

I agree I was watching the Perth game and there dancers team actually ran routines which were directed to most parts of the stadium. Sixers dancers do a great job but would be far more effective and accepted if they could rotate the focus around the stadium rather than the scorers bench.

yeah the south section is better in my opinion. i've sat on both side's of the court with season tix, north has the sporn bar which is good,but on the south ya get the digital courtside displays too, a nice touch for player intro's an things

i remember the chair leg raise chloe did very well, lol, its not at all creepy we all seem to have that imprinted in our heads.

overall they do a good job but ive always thought the fast heavy beat numbers have been their best and suit an uptempo exciting sport like bball better!

I can see now that we're going to need at least three more dance teams. Or a thread of people upset that the players mostly face the baskets when playing. :P

Haha, I like that Isaac, perhaps we can change the rules of basketball and install baskets on all 4 sides. On a more serious note, I don't care too much for the dancing nor any other entertainment at the Dome. I just want to watch the game. However, it is rather strange that the performance of the dancers are only aimed at one side of the stadium. I have noticed on a number of occassions, oher forms of entertainment like the drummer boys, singers and the like do turn around and face all 4 sides throughout their performance. While its not the major draw card it is polite to acknowledge the whole stadium and face everyone in turn.

Like I said, primary camera is on that side. A season or two ago, someone commented on here that the dancers should sometimes dance for the North side and they started doing at least one dance/game for our side. Maybe we could have 65% to the South, 35% to the North. Not sure that the cameras are crucial since the broadcast rarely focuses on the dancers for more than a few seconds (which is a shame).
