Beantown, I think Isaac is referring to Billo's thread about the announcement of the import on Tuesday - check that thread and I am sure you will find Billo's hints/stats fit both McConnell and Jenkins.....although I think McConnell was an 88% FT shooter and Jenkins is 90% as the import is hinted at being.

Going on that I would put my money on Jenkins being announced tomorrow.

Flinders, I agree, would prefer Mickey to BJ but BJ doesnt look to bad from the footage and his signing may free up some cap space to get better options with the last 2 spots to be filled?

Double figures in all but 1 game. Max of 33. Pretty good consistency.
Definitely looks to be an offence first type Point Guard.

I have to say after reading up on Warren I am a little concerned. He seems like a shorter version of Winder - a Sg in a Pg body. Also lacks in the areas where we desperately lacked last year.....going under screens and not really being able to finish at the rim…..

I dont understand why we are going after small pg's but until you see these guys play in our comp its hard to make legit arguments for/against these players. Clip reels can be so misleading.

Not like Gary Ervin was tall but at least you know what you missed out on.

Ervin was an exception! Not only that he had amazing athletic abilities for someone his size

Joshua, I think thats why there was a lot of excitment regarding McConnell, alot of posters on here have watched a lot of St Mary's games and know exactly what his strengths and weaknesses are, and from that he could really be a great fit for our team. Alot of the other guys, are complete unknowns and we base our analysis on stats and highlights.

Where Ervin was a great athlete, I read that Warren is a good athlete but not great and whilst fast doesnt have a quick first step.....I also read that he tends to hold onto the ball too long waiting for the offense....just sounds like the same type of player we have gone after the last few times??

I wont judge until I see him play in our league but based on what I have read I'm not exactly excited about this signing.

I hope he works out but doesn't sound that exciting. All I can hope is that we still have 2 x 10 point players to fill so I'd hope we would get 2 exceptional players

Cant Be Chris Warren, he was All conference 1st Team in the SEC. He is not coming here, we could not afford him. Hope in Wrong!!
