Lions pick Berry
Over the past 2 years the Lions' ABL Women have had outstanding success, having competed in back to back ABL finals. In 2011 the group made history as the first Lions’ ABL Women’s side to play in the finals, and in 2012 the team went one better making it to the Semis. To top it off last season the amazing Jess Mahony won the league MVP (called the Halls Medal), the first Lion ever to win this prestigious award whilst playing for the Lions.
In the off season the group’s coach, Ben Todd, stood down and the hunt commenced for a new, high calibre coach.
