Did they need to put "son of nba all-star Antonio Davis" on the graphic? Let the kid make his own name.
The nbl reeks of desperation to be cool.

No surprise with the signing after all the talk.
The far greater need was for an elite scoring guard though.

This made my chuckle given his name is Antonio (Junior).

Unfortunately he will probably be shaded by the old man while being a pro baller.

Think the positional choice ok. If you read an earlier post, I was hoping for a 5 to help Hodgson.
Thought Bris played and performed badly last game, with Bair's absence and they were reduced to Hodgson (C) and Vukona and TeRangi (who also plays as a 3) as bigs.
With Davis' recruitment, Bair could now be a Hodgson replacement as well as his usual role as a 4 (in other words, still play with Hodgson as a his PF). Don't know AJ Davis' game but he may also be suitable for that role (sometime 5, usual 4).
If Davis lives up to his CV, Brisbane have really put together a very good roster.
1's Cadee / Gibson
2's Gliddon / Kendall
3's Patterson /TeRangi
4's Bairstow / Vukona / / DaviTeRangi
5's Hodgson / Bairstow / (Davis?)
Waiting for their chance,
Magnay F/C, Harrison C, Dalton C.
The guards (1's & 2's), admitedly, don't set the pulse racing. BUT, they have done an admirable job. Cadee runs the team and distributes very well with few TO's. Gliddon is reliably shooting the rock. Kendall, at best, a real spark off the bench (a la Vinnie the microwave), at least a reliable and talented bench man who can light up. Gibson, what do you need done? Deny Cotton, Ok, shoot some 3's, Ok, rebound some, Ok.
These guys, alongside the 3's, 4's & 5's make a formidable unit with excellent defensive unity and strategy and, who's main 9 can score at will and they do.
Not saying "The best", or "will win it all". Saying that they are now good enough!
Read that Davis trained with the Bullets for a short period in the pre season.
I'm interpreting this as 'not good enough to sign at start of season'. Wonder what changed. At least he's not Egwu who was a bigger spud than Spudee.
