Paul Henare?

I heard a rumour that Henare is no longer with Melb Utd. He's also wasn’t on the bench for the NBA game. Has anyone heard anything?

Resigned from both United and the Tall Blacks, per Olgun Uluc.

Not good for united, even worse for tall blacks and great for the hornets.

Great for Henare if true. I thought he did a great job with the Tall Blacks at the WC especially having to implement an uptempo style that they don't usually have and getting it to work successfully is no small feat.

NBL:

Best of luck to @MelbUnitedHQ assistant, Paul Henare who has taken up a head coaching role in Japan.

Fitchett resigns = Breakers come out swinging with critical and negative media stories attacking Fitchett and implying Fitchett couldn't handle the jandle.

Henare resigns = Melbourne united release professional media article thanking Pauli for his services and the culture he has instilled in the Club and talking about how he will be missed.

See the difference in professionalism?

He's coaching a 2nd division pro team in Japan - Kagawa Five Arrows.

No official announcement that I can see from the team, yet - but he's definitely sitting on the bench and advising the coaching staff, etc.

Did he honestly quit the NBL and Tall Blacks jobs for a second-tier Japanese league gig? Bizarre if so must've been made an offer he couldn't refuse.
