Your opinion OP or copied from an article?
Prather hasn't played and Wesley has barely played due to injury.
Creek is good but not sure he is #1.

Ball and Hampton shouldn't be on that list.

Bogut should be top 5. Killed the Breakers across two games.

Perth fans in shambles seeing this list. This is the bookies list. If you think Cotton is the best in the game then put your money on the $7.50 he is paying for it

"LaMelo ball is not a top 20 player in the league".

Agreed. He's great for highlights, and is a very talented kid. But if LaMelo was an import he would be packing his bags already. He's not particularly good at running the team so now Illawarra play a lot with the ball out of his hands. He's not consistent on defence. I don't even think he's the best Rookie in the league at the moment (Kouat Noi takes that for me). But he has potential.

I was going to place Teysy as numero uno, then backspaced and typed McVeigh instead due to his critical ability to jump up and down for fans

top 20 nbl players and mvp odds shouldn't necessarily align.

If you are doing a top 20 nbl list then write that. This is just an mvp odds list with the incorrect heading.

Mitch Creek has no signature move though. All i think when i hear his name is that naff bicep flex. He doesn't have a sick crossover or a cool behind the back dribble or anything memorable.

Check the stats, you got no idea. Who cares if he's not some flashy guard or some dunking forward that don’t do anything else. Creek does everything well and teams win.

It's actually pretty hard to come up with a list of the leagues best players in order at this stage of the season.

How much do you take into account their first few games this season? their games at the end of last season? Their NBLxNBA games? Their World cup games?

Anyway here is my attempt at the top 15:

Cotton
Creek
Bogut
Ware
Long
Roberson
Kay
Goulding
Trimble
White
Patterson
Randle
Hopson
Brooks
Webster

Long and Trimble have been horrible. They can't defend a shadow. Melbourne can talk them up all they like but at this stage no where near top twenty.

Randle and Sobey? What have they done so far? Hodgeson or Patterson for Bullets MVP (IMO) with Griffin or Johnson for Adelaide

I like this 15 from anon, though might tinker with the order, and then add Sobey, Johnson, Lisch, Prather and Oliver to that list to make 20. If Machado keeps playing like he did in Perth he could easily move in there too:

Cotton
Creek
Bogut
Ware
Long
Roberson
Kay
Goulding
Trimble
White
Patterson
Randle
Hopson
Brooks
Webster

You can't leave Webster out of a top 20 list. He is at least top 20.
Had a tough year last year but that was due to injury.
