Old Stars Program?

Just chucking it out there, but as an experiment we get reverse of new stars and bring in guys looking to make it back in nba that were stars or had some recognition. Bogut proved last year that staying in shape and then signing with contender had merit. Carmelo is off the board now but guys like Jamal Crawford could be a key addition to a contender come playoffs. Great league, weather and English speaking (cue insults to one location or another) and money wouldn't be biggest concern for some who's had big contracts. Don't know what criteria to use, all star appearance, award winner, 10 years in league? But a team might want to stash a guy to stay fresh and in game shape. If they get called up earlier, part of contract is compensation.
Don't want all the league to be American so maybe make it maximum 3 imports on court.
Money is in China but would be good to watch a Jeremy Lin or Lance Stephenson on court.
