ADL v NZB Feb27

All NBL teams look forward to playing New Zealand and New Zealand look forward to playing the Sixers. The Breakers have lost 4 in a row and should get their card punched for a 5th loss, then the 6th game is a win, but hey they're playing the Sixers so expect the unexpected.

Losing this game would be a kick in the guts to Adelaide who need to keep touch with the four while waiting for Brandon Paul.

Big fan of the Breakers, but Humphries and Johnson with only one proper big unfortunately on paper looks brutal.

I just hope they do their best in all four quarters, too many times already they've been absolutely crushed in a single quarter and the distance has just been to big.

Desperately need a Rob Loe replacement, I think Galloway is great but needs more time and is a PF.

The annoying things for teams playing nz is eventually they will hit the go button for a game and cause an upset, nearly did it against Sydney well one quarter anyway.
I do think the Sixers are better though and should win by 16.

Sixers need this win. The key is stopping the Webster's and getting Iverson in foul trouble.

Bizarre coaching from Henry. The only sub made all qtr was Pinder for Humphries due to injury. When the team is playing that badly, surely you switch up the personnel earlier. At least trying something different with Kendle and McVeigh was warranted.

Pinder is clearly not up to NBL standard, I would seriously look at cutting him if I was the Sixers, the replacement you get won't be any worse.

Been banging on about it all season and when signing players - too many average players not enough talent there.

Adelaide looked a bit better than they were beating teams at home in a weirdly erratic covid driven start.

Bringing in B Paul will hopefully have a significant affect - can be like dominos - suddenly Giddey doesn't take such a good defender so he can distribute easier; floor is stretched as B Paul is a shooter making a double team or zone against DJ/IH much harder - that opens up scoring for not just your import getting 15-20 but making it easier for DJ/IH/other player on court to score.

To that extent - Adelaide are more than one good player short. Crocker needed to be a better player. Pinder needed to be a better player. McVeigh a more serviceable player.

There’s a lot of average and below average talent and they’re going to be outclassed by all those other teams. With the Hawks flying and Brisbane’s imports getting it done and Broekhoff to SEM I can’t see why Adelaide will be anything other than last when it all shakes out.

Does Shamir or the Webster bros get any credit? The Breakers exploited the Sixers switching by using guard to guard on ball actions to switch to a weaker defender then run an on ball with a big, which usually switched Johnson into one of the Webster bros. And Johnson looked absolutely hopeless without Humphries behind him. If Humphries is injured for a few games, expect other teams to belt the 36ers as well. But Shamir outcoached Henry big time and other teams in the league should be pissed off that the 36ers have given the Breakers some confidence. I firmly believe that despite their setbacks the Breakers aren't as far behind as others think and it’s way too early to write them off.

Went to the game, yes Sixers were bad but the Webster decided to turn up, Humphries injury was huge. To much left to Johnson, yes McVeigh stood up and has been getting better this season, coach must have some influence there. Giddey certainly well below par, just didn't want to anything but pass, he’s young and not that athletic.Adelaide so slow out the blocks and never recovered. Nz were always going to spring a surprise, started very well last game against Sydney.
To make Sixers fans happy, I’m an neutral, there was a floor wiper who had very similar hair style to Pinder only slightly shorter, it gave a laugh as I know how much Sixers fans love him around here. Your coach certainly made mistakes, Sydney bloke after just as bad, he’s just got better cattle. For entertainment which is why I lobbed up two good games.
