Ninnis announced as South Men's coach
The South Adelaide Basketball Club is delighted to announce that one of our own is coming home! We welcome Scott Ninnis as our new NBL1 Men's Coach.
Ninnis arguably is one of the most successful Australian basketballers of all time, having won titles at every senior level. He was a star for South Adelaide, winning the 1995 Woollacott Medal as the State’s fairest and most brilliant player and winning championships with the club in 1987-95-97.
He won an SEABL championship with Adelaide Buffalos in 1987, a year after being a member of the Adelaide 36ers’ "Invincibles" NBL champion.
Again with South East Melbourne in 1992 and the 36ers in 1998, he won titles as a player, adding a further championship as an assistant coach.
A member of the Australian team in 1993, Ninnis also has won two Premier League championships as a coach.
NBL1 2022 will be bigger and better, and we look forward to having a club legend at the helm of our Men’s team for what should be an exciting season of basketball.
