NBL1 Central: How things have changed

Over half way through the NBL1 season and how things have changed since last year.

In the women Southern Tigers are sitting in 6th behind Forestville who are sitting 5th.
West, who normally sit outside the 5 are sitting in 2nd, winning the same amount of games as South and Sturt.
Woodville are Woodvile in the women, and Mavs are again struggling bringing up the rear of the field.

In the men, Whitmores Warriors are sitting top after flopping for the past 4 or 5 years, sturt are lamenting in 5th place, winning the same amount of games as South (how we miss Pretty), and last year's premiership winners are sitting in 6th.
Remember the start of the year when people said West would fight for the premiership, well that doesn't appear to be occurring this year at the port. And Andy and the Eagles have brought out those special paper bags as gifts to their players after games again.

And finally, at the start of the season there was so much hype around Tracey going to Centrals, and how good their men will be with her and Tobias, but this season they only have won 1 more game than Mavs (did their coach last the entire game this week?)

Lets not forget my highlight - centrals women have doubled the amount of wins this season than all their wins in the last 3 years, and are also sitting higher on the table than their men's team!!

Mavs are in struggle town as a club in general. The men are as expected even after having 3 imports! Time for that club to start again.

West womens program is impressive, good recruiting in both players and coach.
Will be interesting to see how the mens program move forward next season with Corey no longer in the coaching job.
Mens recruiting this year was poor.

Mavs men lose the "unlosable" last night being up by double figures in the last 2 minutes! Constant bickering at the officials obviously didn't help their cause. Full credit to Centrals and fill in coach Mick Clifford who basically out coached Rojo to grab the win.

Its hard to win a game when your entire lifeline is depended on 3 imports all performing well

Worst bench in the league by a long mile

That bench includes the coaching staff and the two other players who start that couldn't get a gig with any other club even in the reserves.

Have noticed West have only had 1 import recently. Did the other one walk out when the coach was replaced?

Looks like things have changed yet again after the weekend. I thought North were gone but now it looks like Norwood could be in trouble. 6 teams still fighting for 5 spots. Who do people think will miss?
