Hawks v phoenix

Start round two.

SEM with injuries did well last week, Adnam was good, hawks got close because Dent shot the lights out. Hawks once again look like a budget team.

I got no idea, I'll go hawks at home by one.

No Justin Robinson for the Hawks will hopefully see Harvey in the one spot and bring the ball back over half court where he was effective in his first season with the Hawks. It gave him a option to pull the trigger from deep before the defence was set.

Phoenix still without Kell, Browne, Broekhoff?

I'd tip the Hawks then, even without Robinson

Don't forget they're missing Zhou Qi too.

Expecting SEM by a few, unless Harvey goes off for 30.

Games at the Sandpit seem devoid of atmosphere these days, but guess I'll watch given only game on tonight :)

Buford said last year he thought Sandpit had the best atmosphere, but maybe the derbies are an exemption?

One is Damon Lowrey.
The other guy has no idea, keeps calling Kevin White Cooenrad...

Damon Lowery is so bad. It's like listening to an amateur NBL1 broadcast.

Lowry is better than Corey Williams. This game is tough on the eye. A lot of patience until teams start playing rust free basketball.

Quite a few empty seats at the Gong, hope they are ok off the court as well as on.

Being a regional team want them to be successful

Hawks budget certainly slashed this season. Both sides on struggle street at present.

Play-by-play caller is Alister Nicholson.

George King is very good especially for a third import.

On the other side no hyperbole Foxwell is the best point defender in the league.

Foxwell brings good energy, but he's not a complete package defensively yet.

Not convinced anyone looks good.

Nice win to the hawks though. SEM need there squad together soon or there going nowhere. Terangi even Adnam are not starters. Deng not as well. Still early days but wins are crucial.

The first win was big for the Phoenix. To get a W without four key guys is a huge bonus. Hawks would be very happy to get this one without Robinson.

SEM have very winnable games ahead. The fixtures worked out very nicely for them

With these injuries they'd find it very difficult winning vs Perth, Adelaide or Sydney but they might eek out a few victories, starting 2-2 or 3-1 then hopefully have a fuller roster in 2 weeks when they start facing The big boys

Foxwell was minus 11 in 15 minutes, not certain that's showing defensive ability.

His enthusiasm is too easily exploited by good players. He'll learn though.

Go well could still be playing u20 in VJBL. Not many u20 players play meaningful minutes in NBL. A few more seasons and he will be a gun.
