Kings @ Breakers

Top of the table clash.

Are the Kings going to establish themselves as the number one team in the comp or will the Breakers cement themselves as a legit title threat?

Breakers defensive structure and game plan relies on heavy on ball pressure so the kings guards will have to protect the ball otherwise the Breakers are really good at creating turnovers. They seem to be a genuinely real threat to win it all now given how they suffocate teams .

I tend to think the kings will eventually pull it out in a struggle but would not be shocked in the slightest if the Breakers win

I think the kings will prevail in what should be a great encounter. Guys like Glover coming off the bench is absolute bonus, had injuries but he's a stater in most other teams. Breakers will have a rip but just see the kings to deep.
Kings eight.

No Rob Loe so the Breakers front court is weak. Soares and Hunter will have to do the damage. Everyone else can cancel each other out.

I REALLY love Pardons game. Just hustles and crashes the boards, set good screens and rolls hard to the basket. Who wouldn't like a guy like that on every team.

Cooks twisted ankle, Rupert holding wrist, bit damage to both.

I don't feel like the Breakers are playing that badly (apart from the free throw shooting). But it feels like the bounce of the ball goes the Kings way every time for an open cutter or 3. Everything is so easy for them.

Kings just play unrelenting D, and run the offence so hard. They are all athletic, fast. Breakers look shell shocked, can't make a shot, softish D. Barry Brown junior having a dip, Abercrombie playing some reasonable D. Kings up by 18 at half.

Breakers shot chart is a mess, Kings defence got them where they want them, then they sweep the glass and run.

Pardon limping off now, Rupert in a sling, game slowing down a bit now.

Commentary saying broken wrist for Rupert, kings just rolling in second gear now.

Been a different Kings squad since Cooks went down.

Frustrating number of soft/incidental contact being called for fouls for both sides.

Is Tim Provise (Court Interviewer) a Norman Gunston like character?

Kings don't deserve to win this, 5 straights missed FTs before Walton jr finally makes one.

Sydney hold on to win by 3.
Congratulations, Kings the team to beat this season.
Proud of the breakers determination to stay in the game and fight to the final whistle.

Bad call in the backcourt on WMW, Pardon had the steal.

Kings are not the same without Cooks. But as a team their energy on the offensive glass maintained their lead, many teams would have choked that one.

Walton Jr is very classy, but Brown is a beast defensively. Breakers should have had him on Walton from the beginning.

Simon, apart from the FTs, was very good at both ends.

Hopefully, Rupert isn't out too long. The Breakers are rising and it’s hard to see how much the Kings can improve on where they are already, they’re a great team. They deserve to be number one and, barring injury, it’s hard to see anyone beating them in a series.

Simon 1 from 10 free throws, how is he the best player of game.

NZ ground it out, obviously missing Cooks hurt but kings just went back to second gear. Breakers started making a few shots, got make them when it counts, all game so kings are not just rebounding and running. Abercrombie staying healthy could be the difference, he actually slowed Cooks down when he came onto the floor, should start.

I still can't see kings losing any play off series, back to back.
