I feel like tonights game and Sunday's games will be the highlights of the round. Expecting a great contest in both.

Can we please get up a petition going for no more Lori Chizik commentating anymore! She's certainly the Number Ticketholder in the Alex Sharp Fanclub!

I'll still take Lori every day of the week over Julia Montesano.

Firmly in the Alex Sharp fan club. She will need to be the consistent caps double double this season. Already impressed by her athleticism.

Also highly impressed by Didi Richards. Not sure we have seen a player like her in the league! Her length and athleticism is very impressive.

What's so bad about Chizik? Give me her over Montesano any day. She might have some foibles but nobody can say she doesn't know basketball or hasn't got experience in that world.

Also, Jade Melbourne fricking rules. Great player.

I'm not a fan of Chizik, but last night was one of her better calls. For someone with the extensive experience she has, her understanding of basketball comes across as quite basic.

Weedy's picks were awesome. I'd expect consistent production from them over the course of the season.

The league is much lower on talent this year. Definitely isn't the same calibre of talent as previous years. I think Townsville, pending injuries, should be clear winners.

Agree. There is far less depth and coaches don't look like they are giving bench minutes to develop the second tier of player (although I think we can all be excited by the time Coach Veal is giving to Jayda Clark)

Most teams would be significantly impacted by a long term injury to the wrong player.

Townsville's new big (6ft 4In) will arrive next week and probably be good to go the following week , that will give them the size they lacked against Southside.

Push Aukoso back to the bench and play her in short bursts , they will be tough to beat.

Lots of retirements, players in europe or elsewhere, injuries and college kids who decided to play one more year.

Hopefully we see a new team next year.... Should be no shortage of talent in 24/25.

Southside brought back to earth. Dickey deserves more minutes, but a good defensive effort from Adelaide

Mammoth 15 assists for Melbourne last night. Her connection with Alex Fowler is beautiful to watch.

Griffin back in action and straight into "refuse to lose" mode, except a few of her teammates unfortunately weren't on the same page, and stayed in "ehh, we're cool with blowing this lead we're had for almost the entire game" mode.

A. Rocci back on court as well, and provided some very useful minutes to help the Boomers over the line. In a 2 point win she was +23 in her 20 minutes.
Another huge game from Canada.

is it just me or are we seeing a lot of Penny Taylor style in Borlase's game ? I just see so much of Taylor's game style in Borlase (which is awesome)
And will she nominate for WNBA draft at some stage ?

Can't say I've noticed any issues, other than the random shot of an empty spot on the floor during the Lynx game last weekend.
