Statement game by Lynx made Fire look second rate, I wonder if Fowler regrets her decision to leave Caps & play for Fire this year...

Damn fun team to watch when in full flight.
The 3 point shooting was insane.

No one beats Perth when they play like that, reminiscent of Game 1 against Southside in the GF series least season. TSV got the Perth big into foul trouble early but again failed to take any sort of advantage with her out.

I really like the Courtside guy that they have in Perth, great to have a ex player who obviously knows the game. Asks real questions and not the standard how do you feel ......

I have a feeling that TSV will struggle again against Adelaide on Friday night,
Need more out of Fowler on the offence and Cooke has got to start playing some honest Defence, watching Goodchild blow by her and walking in a layup is not good enough. Maley makes 4 3pts in a qtr .....

Petrik's offence in full flight is awesome to see. 70% on 3's. Funny enough had same amount of attempts beyond the arc as Townsville.

Also didn't realise Robbins had officially joined the Fire, thought that was just a thing during the pre-season cup.

Oh, and great crowd in Perth on a weekday night. Getting over 1000 is amazing.

Can we please find a way for Greg Hire to have a bigger role with both the WNBL & NBL coverage! Love his work as court side reporter but would much prefer to hear him commentating games & utilising his vast array of basketball knowledge in that forum.

And we have a tied game with 3 to play! I think the commentator just said it's been a 15-0 run!

Woods pushing for an Asia cup spot?

Woods has to be in the mix, her defence has improved out of sight over the past few years, held Talbot for the last two games. No problem with her offensively. She has changed roles again this year and most of the offence is run through her, her scoring is probably down a bit but assists way up over last seasons. Got to help the Seebohm is involved at the National Level as well.

TSV can probably consider themselves lucky they got Adelaide so close to each other, i don't think that they would have beaten any other team in the League the way they are playing. Free Throw percentage is awful, and the offence is stagnant. They are running the TSV System until Cookes gets the ball and goes one on one.

At Adelaide there is something really wrong in that Club. To give away two leads like that is incredible. You have to believe that there is a complete disconnect between the players and the Coach. I think that Talbot did not score in the 2nd half tonight, just not sure how that is possible.

I'm still tipping Jade Melbourne to make the WNBL Team of the Week even though she scored 5pts at 11% tonight Vs Spirit...

To be fair, points production aside, 10 rebounds, 8 assists, 3 steals with 2 turnovers when you consider how much she handles the ball in 34 minutes. She was the game leader across rebounds, assists and steals in a 20 point loss. Only Burton was better with zero turnovers in similar minutes.

Sure team of the week cares mostly about points, and caps do need her at 20+ points per game, but still plenty to be happy about.

Solid road win, Lynx.
Good battle today. Composure got it done in the end. 25 points from turnovers and Wilson in particular had herself a feast.

It's definitely time that Ally Wilson gets some strong Asia Cup consideration & move on from being pigeonholed as only being a 3X3 player!

On the season, a third of the way in already. I don't think many had Bendigo and Perth being top 2 sides already. Southside and Sydney struggling too (though you wouldn't know it from TOTW). At least with most teams being mediocre currently there's plenty of chances for anyone to get on form and make the top 4. Eg if Adelaide didn't choke twice against Townsville they'd be 3rd.

I had Bendigo, Southside, Adelaide and Perth as my top 4. It's a hard league to predict when the roster turnover is so high.
I don't think Townsville are as good as their record indicates, but they just keep finding ways to win (and Adelaide keep finding ways to lose!).
And I don't think Sydney struggling is really a surprise given the late withdrawals of DiDi Richards and Lauren Nicholson.

the last minute of that Lightning v Fire game was traumatic! And, I'm not even a Lightning supporter. How does your WNBA import turn the ball over twice in the last 20 seconds????
