NBL: Martin to Cairns, Caporn to Perth

Perth have secured Adam Caporn (ex-Hawks) for two years.

West Australian born Caporn, 24, will make a welcome addition to the Wildcats line up as a one and two guard following Matt Shanahan's departure to the South Dragons.

Perth coach Scott Fisher is expecting the partnership of Caporn (105 NBL games) and David Bailey to cause headaches for opposition coaches throughout the 2006/07 Philips Championship season.
Dual championship ex-King, Luke Martin, has been snared by the Cairns Taipans to back up Darnell Mee.
"I am just really excited about playing under Coach Black," Martin said. "He has a lot of respect around the league from the players he has coached and had an involvement with. From playing for the Kings in Cairns I know how fantastic the crowds are and how much the community gets gets behind the team and I am looking forward to being a part of that. To also play and learn from players such as Darnell Mee, Anthony Stewart and Cat was a major factor in my decision and was just too good an opportunity for me... I can't wait to get to Cairns."
