Look at the age groups that are doing well!! Perhaps a lot of credit needs to be given to two coaches that have moved on to Southern Tigers and some current coaches should look at their coaching techniques. Perhaps Forestville's import may not have been as good as what they lost.

149910 - I wasnt aware that the Nagy's had the Under 10's and 12's as well. Just goes to show what an ignorant comment that is.

(#149910) Well no wonder the "two coaches that have moved on to Southern Tigers" have not done much at their new club; seems they are still coaching the Eagles as well!

"Perhaps Forestville's import may not have been as good as what they lost"

The only thing the Eagles seem to have lost is thinking they have the grand final wrapped up a week before it is actually played.

I guess they have also lost a "two coaches that have moved on to Southern Tigers" that are hooked up on wanting to coach two particular kids all the way through their careers until they eventually retire as well!

At least the "import" achieved the exact same result as one of those "two coaches that have moved on to Southern Tigers" managed to do for the last 4 years...coming 2nd to Sturt.

"and some current coaches should look at their coaching techniques"

Bad case of "chip on shoulder" me thinks. (Don't get too excited; I didn't mean chocolate chip!)

I think if you all check out the latest Eagles Nest , the club thanks the Nagy's for their input to the program , as well as Arnie and now Dave Laurie.
Everyone very happy in Eagles with the entire Junior program , and work starting ont he Boys side in the coming weeks/months

You are 100% right. The "CLUB" did thank them.

The "CLUB" is way bigger than any two individuals.

why coaching and the girls ego get so big they think they are better than want they are and think they should be playing aba and north will not give them a game. It is good in one way will make the teams a lot more even

North stats this year:
No div 1 winners
1 div 2 winner
2 div 3 winners
1 div 4 winner
2 div 5 winners

Is the standard of top div teams not good enough?
Is the selection done on merit or nepotism runs supreme?

Forestville stats this year:
4 div 1 winners
4 div 2 winners
1 div 3 winner
1 div 4 winner

Where would you rather be?

The North Adelaide club president needs to have a long look at what the club has or hasn't achieved in his time at the helm.

Maybee should have tried a little bit harder to keep one coach in particular in the junior coaching ranks!

Seems all the clubs have problems. North dont have any particular strength in the girls at the moment outside of their fragile 18's of whom two have gone to forestville and next year they wont be competitive in any age group other than their brittle 18's.
Norwood have only had the present 18's as a strength of their club in the girls, with the same group together from 14's with the same coach, and while their 16's are improving Norwood's huge numbers are not producing much talent at Div 1 level.
West's will be less competitive in the girls this season with their better players going to U21 and not much to follow. Sturt girls fell away dramatically last season and who knows whats happening down there.
Southern had their best chance at 16's this year but their 18's no doubt would be looking at the fourth or fifth spot , Woodville will probably compete for the last final's spot with southern in the 18's , and be more competitive through their 14's and 16's. Mavs at 14 might surprise a few if the rumours are true but will struggle at 16 and 18's. Souths always seem capable of more in the girls and who knows this year. Centrals remain a mystery with what they will produce in the girls.
Which brings us back to forestville who are fated to be second forever at the 14 level in a division sturt owns through its more physical style of play , skill level , ability to press etc. but at 16 and 18 level for the first time for a long tme they should be the favourites in the 16's and 18's unless the glass they imported breaks.
