NBL Player of the Month Prize

Saw this on Ozhoops and thought it was quite amusing. Although Hummer are giving away a car for the Player of the Year and even a phone for the Player of the game on Fox games, it appears they aint so kind for the player of the month.

From West Online..

As the 2007-08 season's first Player of the Month, Wildcats import Shawn Redhage thought a prize would be heading his way. Possibly a mobile phone, like what Sydney's Mark Worthington received as player of the match in the FoxSports game last Wednesday.
But all Redhage was going to receive was a nice certificate. Hardly a return representative of the effort Redhage had put in over the opening eight games.
To boost the prize's prestige, Wildcats backer and Aussie Cash boss Oliver Douglas came to the rescue with a $500 cheque for Redhage.

I hope they at least laminated it!!

Stitched up. Guys at my local footy club get almost that much for getting best on ground for one game! If this wildcats backer has that much cash surely a grand woulda been the go.
