As of this moment, Bruce Bowen has played 30 minutes vs Denver for a huge total of 4 pts, 0, reb, 0 ass, 0 steals, 1 block. Surely in 30 minutes you could grab a tipped rebound. Before anyone says it i do know that bowen is on the team for his defensive ability but even then iverson has 21 in 3 quarters. He must be invisible standing in the corner tonight.
Bowen wouldn;t be defending iverson. He would be defending Anthony.

i still don't know HOW he got his defensive rep - all he does is head guys to the centre, for the Poo to finish off, or he cheap shots behind play ... useless.

Agreed, Bowen is one of the most overated players in the game today. He provides so little but so many people drool over him. He is just one lucky guy who found himself on an awesome team. If he wasn't on the Spurs he would probably have just bounced around the league.

Lets see how good he would look defensively playing for New York.
Then again anyone even attempting to play defence in NY would be a minor miracle at the moment.

ok bowen is useless defensively.. idiot. just because he plays a role whithin the team as opposed to playing despite it he he gets slammed. i'd hardly say hes ovverated considering hes never been selected for the dpoy. from now on statisticians shouldnt be able to talk about hoops

Hmmmm - Bargnani's game today is pretty Bowen-Like... for a 6-10 250lb guy to not get a touch other than touches through the offence is pretty awesome - in a really awesome (as in great - he does have 21 pts) and "really awesome" (as in even Nick Nolte could at least snag a frking rbd, or a foul, to, anything!!!)...
