NBA Finals TV ratings up 38%

It's been suggested at least since the Gasol trade that a Lakers-Celtics final would be a dream for Commissioner Stern and the NBA.

And now, validation of that with news that Game 1 of the Finals rated at a 38% premium over the equivalent game of last year's Cavaliers-Spurs snorefest.

In fact, the TV ratings so far are the best since Lakers-Pistons in 2004.

pretty obvious it was going to go up.

considering it was cavs and spurs who are quite boring teams... and the fact that the cavs were the best in the east that season...

makes u laugh.

find a balance for the playoffs already.

it's just saying all these conspiracy existed in the nba; from the knick's pick of pat ewing (how they got that #1 pick)-> ref not calling fouls to get teams through etc.

don't fool yourselfs ..the NBA is all about TV ratings !! that's why superstars get away with fouls and travels evey game and popular teams get a lot of luck
