Weeks calls it a day

A sad day for basketball. Leading NBL referee Geoff Weeks has retired.

Refer to Boti's article in The Advertiser. Who said Boti was a referee hater.

Geoff called his last game on July 12 at Morhpett Vale stadium. To the Southern Tigers and North Adelaide women you were very privileged.

Enjoy your break Geoffrey

He will be missed.

I remember one Sixers game last season when he fell over and looked pretty sore after that, but he soldiered on.

One of the most respected referees in Australia. Also was respected on an international level, particularly in South East Asia. He will be sorely missed. Leaves an even bigger gap now at the senior level in SA. It is hoped that the 'powers that be' utilise Geoff's knowledge and experience in the training of referees in SA.

I was wrong, it wasn't Weeksy!
Sorry about that.
Just got confused seeing him hobble around the court
