Just noticed that slam has already released their July AND August issues. It's only the start of June for god sake! Anyone know what this is about? Seems a little odd to me.
It's not uncommon for American magazines to release their issues in advance of the month they are scheduled for. However, the fact that this one has been released so far in advance and that they have doubled up the issue does not bode well for the future of SLAM magazine. I hope I am wrong, but this is a tell tale sign of a magazine that is teetering on the brink of collapse. They double up an issue to buy some time, restructure and cut costs. I could go into a lot more detail, but I'm pretty sure the parent company is struggling right now too.
