PS. Delonte West is expected to turn up to training camp by the Cav's despite facing gun possession charges.

"He faces a likely suspension from the NBA, but commissioner David Stern will not likely hand one down until the criminal case against West is resolved."

I guess with Shaq now joing LBJ in town, it may actually take a bit of focus away from the shooting guard!

Well, in my mind Cleveland have everything to prove. Last year they sat behind Lebron James who powered them to a league leading regular season record, only to fail spectacularly in the playoffs because months of beating everyone except the contenders didn't really prepare them for playoff ball.

This year, with Shaq they at least have a legit defensive presence and a third offensive threat in the starting line up. I think they can have another excellent season but really we're not going to know how good the team actually is until playoff time.

You would like to think theat LBJ and Shaq would be putting the Cav's in a posiotive light as training camp gets underway, however the spectre of Delonte West continues to loom in the foreground as he failed to turn up to the first training session.
