NBL looking for a GM of Sales and Marketing

The National Basketball League is set to appoint a new General Manager of Sales and Marketing, with Basketball Australia seeking candidates for the new position.

The advertisement, which was posted on-line on Friday, states that the position "will provide a single point of focus for all commercial elements of the NBL to maximise the generation of corporate sales and sponsorship revenue for the league."

Applications for the role close at 12 Noon (AEDT) on Monday 25 January.

Job advertisement here (PDF) but don't get too excited - only real extra details are the usual "salary commensurate with experience" and an invitation to contact the league for a more detailed position description.

they should look for someone who will not ride on cricket and rugby popularity.

i mean, although basketball is not really popular here in australia "but" it is more "global" sport than rugby and cricket!

so its a matter of time, basketball will be gettin acknowledgment finally.

remember that there's is more money in basketball and our neighboring asian countries such as China, Singapore, Korea and Japan are more into it than our national sports.
