Phillips to join Taylor in EuroLeague All-Star Game

Erin Phillips will suit up alongside fellow Jayco Opal Penny Taylor in the EuroLeague Women All Star Game in March.
Last week Taylor was named as a starter and a few days later Phillips was named on the bench for the Rest of the World team.
The EuroLeague Women All Star Game is played between teams representing Europe and the Rest Of The World which will take place in Gdynia, Poland on March 9th, where Phillips has been based this European season.
The players were selected based on a public vote, collected throughout the months of December and January on www.fibaeurope.com.
At halftime during the All Star Game, Taylor will also take part in a 3-point shootout contest. The Jayco Opal is averaging 43.3 per cent (13-of-30) from beyond the arc in the EuroLeague this season.
The Rest of the World Starters are Diana Taurasi (USA), Penny Taylor (Australia), Candice Dupree (USA), Janell Burse (USA) and Sophia Young (West Indies) will be the starting five for the Rest of the World.

Spartak Moscow Region head coach Pokey Chatman was selected to be at the helm for the Rest Of The World. Her assistant will be Dariusz Maciejewski, head coach of KSSSE AZS-PWSZ Gorzow.
Europe will be led by Ros Casares head coach Isma Canto who will be assisted by Lotos Gdynia head coach Jacek Winnicki.
The All-Star Weekend will feature a photo opportunity and a number of social activities for the players on March 8th and 9th. The game itself will be on Tuesday March 9, with a three-point shootout taking place at half-time.
The game's venue is The Sport and Show Hall "Gdynia" at K. Gorskiego street 8, Gdynia, POL.
