R4 ABL Action

A very interesting round last weekend, and with only 4 sets of games this Saturday night, the cream is starting to rise.

Rocket Roosters - Lions @ Hillcrest
Tigers-Eagles @ Southern Siberia
Warriors-Flames @ St Clair
West-South @ Port Adelaide

Rockets-Lions
Women: Lionesses played their heart out last weekend, but you can't average 36 turnovers a game and expect to win. Rockettes should chalk up a win here.
Men: Lions are on bottom, but haven't played badly. They are slow out of the block and haven't won a first quarter yet. When you're chasing jumbers in a game it makes it hard. Need to get the Z to start to have any hope of a win. Rockets are 3-0, but should get up after a fourth quarter surge..

Tigers-Eagles
Women: Eagles go into the game 3-0 and should be celebrating at 4-0 on the way home to their roost. Reckon they should shout Maccas to the Tigeress just to be nice.
Men: Will they be "goodenough" this week? Riley is top of the points table and unless the canteen lady can slip a micky into his powerade, should get another lazy 30. I'ld like to tip Tigers, but they will be out-rebounded by the Feagles. Eagles by 10.

Warriors-Flames
Lots of criticism of St Clair stadium during the week. Difficult to see the Warriors get up in either game. Away team to win both.

West-South
Women: West will get this pretty easily, not by 50, but Sam can clear the bench for this one. West by 30.
Men: Is that angry little ant back yet? West are too tall and solid. Similar margin to the men.

Jack, you said the same thing about Sam getting off early in the first round. Could be your kiss of death statement?

Yes, seems to be.

There are players coming on board now that are about half her age, and she is still twice as good as them.

And these kids, who have actually been on board for two or three years, will improve their game by sitting on the bench?

Lions

Watched last Sundays game against West who were up in the first quarter about 17 to 2. Basically the Lions shot like S......t.

At the start of both the game and after half time, West streaked ahead. The injection of Carlin for brief minutes in the first and second half seemed to inject a run of points which brought the Lions back into the game.

They should have won, but IMO a few subs with 5 minutes to go and scores even, the final 5 on the floor turned the ball over far too many times(at one stage 5 times in a row without putting a shot up).

st clair had great atmosphere thanks mainly to the bar - we enjoyed the coldies on hand - ligting not as bad as i was led to believe and who needs to sit plenty of room to stand - maybe those soft doggies who appear to be complainers cant stand up
stand up walk to the bar stand and cheer all great - i be back well next year anyway
